- Pay: Tax-free daily stipend.
Best For: Clients living alone or whose families work, needing a trained professional to visit for hourly support.
- Caregiver: Trained CNA / Agency Assistant (does not live with you).
- Hours: Flexible hourly shifts (e.g., 2–8 hours per visit).
- Rules: Caregivers pass background check; can maintain other jobs.
- Pay: Taxable hourly W-2 wages paid by Viet Home Care.
CCSP & SOURCE Waiver Programs
Georgia Medicaid offers these waiver programs as free or low-cost alternatives to nursing homes, allowing you to live safely and independently at home.
Quick Program Guidelines
CCSP Waiver
Gross monthly income limit: approx. $2,829/mo, assets under $2,000.
SOURCE Waiver
Requires SSI Medicaid eligibility and income under approx. $994/mo.
Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP)
Specialized in-home clinical care for medically fragile children under 21.
100% Free Coverage
Fully funded by Medicaid. Families pay zero co-pays, deductibles, or out-of-pocket costs.
Medically Fragile Needs
Covers intensive needs: Tracheostomies, feeding tubes (G-tubes), ventilators, oxygen therapy, or severe seizure disorders.
Full Administrative Help
Viet Home Care handles all pediatric intake, physician orders, and prior authorization paperwork for you.
Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)
Waiver supports and intensive clinical options operated by Georgia DBHDD.
NOW Program
For individuals with moderate support needs. Focuses on personal support, community integration, and caregiver respite.
COMP Program
For intensive, 24-hour clinical support, specialized residential care, or complex behavioral assistance.
Intake Assistance
We coordinate your application, compile psychological reports, and medical evaluations to secure enrollment.
Benefits Application Help
We provide free support to help families apply for and renew government health and food security programs.
We help you apply for and renew coverage via the Georgia Gateway portal. We assist with:
• Aged, Blind, and Disabled (ABD) Medicaid: For seniors over 65 or disabled
individuals.
• Family Medicaid & PeachCare: Standard health coverage for low-income parents
and children.
• Georgia Pathways: Coverage for residents aged 19 to 64 who work or participate in
qualifying activities.
We provide simplified, plain-language guidance for all parts of Medicare:
• Part A (Hospital): Inpatient hospital stays and hospice care.
• Part B (Medical): Doctor visits, outpatient services, and medical equipment.
• Part C (Advantage): Combined private insurance plans.
• Part D (Prescriptions): In-home prescription drug coverage.
MSP pays for your Part B premiums if your income is low:
• QMB Limits: Individual: $1,350/mo | Couple: $1,824/mo
• SLMB Limits: Individual: $1,616/mo | Couple: $2,184/mo
• QI Limits: Individual: $1,816/mo | Couple: $2,455/mo
We assist families with SNAP applications and yearly renewals to purchase food.
Senior SNAP: If your household is only seniors (aged 60+) with no earned income, we apply for Senior SNAP. It simplifies renewals and waives interview requirements.
We help you find affordable health insurance on Georgia's state marketplace exchange (Georgia Access).
Subsidies: If your income is between 100% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), we help you secure tax credits to reduce your monthly premiums to near-zero.
• 1 Person: Under $15,650/yr (100% FPL) to $62,600/yr (400% FPL)
• 2 Persons: Under $21,150/yr (100% FPL) to $84,600/yr (400% FPL)
• 3 Persons: Under $26,650/yr (100% FPL) to $106,600/yr (400% FPL)
We distribute free monthly Food Boxes to low-income seniors in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Eligibility: Seniors aged 60 or older with gross income below:
• 1-Person Household: Under $1,995/month
• 2-Person Household: Under $2,705/month
Once approved, you can pick up your food box (containing nutritious foods, cereals, milk, and cheese) at our Norcross office. VHC client members and active caregivers also receive weekly food supplies as a benefit.
We run two lively community social centers (Norcross and Lake City).
